ABOUT YOUTH.
I believe that the youth are the driving force of any society, since it is not a time of life but it's a state of mind, it's a temper of the will, quality of imagination, vigour of emotions and a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over love of ease.
Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, doubt, self-distrust, fear and despair - these are the long, long years that bow the head and turn the growing spirit back to dust. Whether they are sixteen or seventy, there is in every being's heart the love of wonder, the sweet amazement at the stars and star like things and thoughts, the undaunted challenge of events, the unfailing childlike appetite for what is to come next, and the joy and the game of life.

The moment you step off the plane at Grenada’s beachside airport, you know you’re in for something special
Perhaps it’s the sight of the turquoise water and the white Caribbean sands, or the welcoming smiles as you bask in the tropical heat.Dubbed the Spice Island (though it’s actually composed of three islands) due to its thriving trade in nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger, Grenada is indeed an exotic destination.
You could spend your whole holiday here just eating delicious food and chilling on the beach, but it’s worth exploring a bit.
Hike through the Grand Etang National Park’s volcanic landscapes and take a dip in a crystal clear pool below a waterfall.
The capital, St George’s, is also well worth a visit, with the French-built Fort George offering superb views and an insight into the country’s military past.
You’ll also see remnants of the damage wreaked by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, though much of the capital has now been rebuilt.
If the sun lounger calls, Grand Anse Beach is one of Grenada’s best spots – two miles of uninterrupted white sand and calm waters in which you can scuba-dive, snorkel and sail.
Kick back with a rum punch and look forward to an evening of liming – the local term for having a good time – which Grenadians do rather well.

4. Koh Chang is the hot tourist destination on Thailand’s crystalline Gulf Coast
Dizzyingly mountainous and beautiful, Koh Chang offers 430 square kilometres of steep indigenous mountain forests that rise into the clouds at close to 2,500ft.Seen as a serene alternative to the booming Phuket, it’s a favourite with Thais but is relatively undeveloped.
‘Chang’ translates as elephant – the 52 islands in the Koh Chang National Marine Park are said to resemble a herd of elephants. The animals aren’t indigenous but there are three spots on the island where you can take organised rides.
A short drive inland, passing fields of mango and durian trees and scarlet peacock-tail flowers, leads you to the jungle camp of Ban Kwan Chang – the most responsibly-run elephant camp on the island.
Here, visitors can ride elephants into the rainforest and wash them under waterfalls.
The island is well preserved – nature conspired against developers by throwing up a dense, mountainous interior – but it is, as they say, ‘under pressure’, so book now before the hordes discover it.

TRUE STORY DADDY ATE MY EYES
BAKERSFIELD California -- A horrifying case of alleged child abuse has surfaced in Bakersfield, where a 34-year-old father is accused of biting out one of his son's eyes and mutilating the other. Police say Angel Vidal Mendoza appeared to be under the influence of PCP when he attacked the 4-year-old boy April 28. After the attack on his son, police say Mendoza rolled his wheelchair outside and began hacking at his own legs with an ax. A neighbor found 4-year-old Angelo Mendoza Jr. naked, unconscious and covered in blood on the floor of his home. Officers later discovered that one of the boy's eyes was missing and the other eye was horribly damaged. Investigators said the child told them, "My daddy ate my eyes." Doctors at Mercy Hospital say it's unclear whether Angelo will regain vision in his right eye. The boy's mother wasn't home at the time of the attack. A court hearing set for Wednesday was postponed. Deputy Public Defender Joel E. Lueck said Mendoza was hospitalized, recovering from the wounds on his legs. Judge Colette Humphrey issued a gag order prohibiting attorneys and investigators from commenting about the case. Mendoza is facing felony charges of aggravated mayhem, torture, willful cruelty to a child and inflicting injury upon a child. Mendoza has a criminal record going back to 1997 that includes convictions for selling alcohol to a minor, battery and check forgery. Mendoza and the child's 23-year-old mother, Desirae Marie Bermudez, were charged with being ...

TEENAGER KILLS GIRL TO FEED VIDEO GAME HABIT
Campaigners have warned about the dangers of online game addiction after a teenager allegedly killed a seven-year-old girl for her earrings to feed his video game habit.
Mong The Xuong, 15, confessed to luring the youngster into woods in Nghe An province in the north central coast of Vietnam, and beating her to death with a rock, Vietnamese police say.
He said he killed Anh Nhu because he did not have money to play online games at an internet cafe near his home in Yen Hoa, it is claimed.
Locals said the 9th grade high school pupil often spent hours at internet cafes every day, playing Vo Lam Truyen Ky (Swordsman Online) - a violent, massively popular multi-player game in Vietnam, based on Chinese kung fu stories.
Online Gamers Anonymous, a US-based support group for addicts, said the killing - and the level of violence used - highlighted the need for action to be taken to restrict excessive gaming.
Anh Nhu's killing is the latest in a long line of deaths and violent crimes around the world attributed to video game addiction.
According to his confession, Mong lured the girl into woods near their village on May 23 by asking her if she wanted to help him pick fruit to sell at a local market.
He told police he suddenly pushed her down a 20ft rocky drop near a stream before climbing down and beating her repeatedly on the back of the head with a rock, hoping people would think she suffered her injuries in the fall.
He said he cut the earrings into pieces with scissors, and then wrapped them in paper and hid them under the leg of a wardrobe. He was later arrested.
Elizabeth Woolley, who set up Online Gamers Anonymous after her son Shawn committed suicide because of his addiction to online games, said it was time governments stepped in and did something about the ever-growing habit.
"Until governments around the world recognise it's a problem, it's just going to keep getting worse and worse in terms of murders and crimes caused by excessive and obsessive online game play," she said.
"It's exactly like drugs or alcohol - once people get addicted, they feel they have to have it. There are always certain people who will get addicted to a drug, and in gaming we estimate it's about 20% to 30% of people."
The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment (UKIE), which represents businesses in the UK video games industry, was unavailable for comment.
VERY SAD PLEASE TRY TO HELP THIS PERSON.
I have always had a difficult relationship with my dad although I can't really think why. I remember being punished a lot as a child quite harshly for minor things and learned to fear my father from a very young age. I was not a perfect child I often got in to mischief as a little girl but once I got the message that he was not to be messed with I watched my every step.
As a teenager I tried my hardest at school and with part time jobs to show him I was responsible and reliable but it seemed no matter what I always managed to wind him up somehow and nothing I did was good enough. I bit my tongue for years up until the day I was married and he made some comments about 'finally getting rid of me' he looked at my husband and said 'good luck mate, you'll need it with her' and you could see from his face and tone of voice it was not a joke. I looked at him and just said I want you to leave I dont want you here and he did so without saying a word and my mum ended up giving me away.
We had no contact for about 6 months after until I found out I was pregnant and thought I could use the good news to build some bridges. He was not really interested but came to see the baby when he was born. He has shown little interest since then now I am pregnant for the second time and hate that my kids wont have a grandfather that cares about them, this is what makes me most angry that he is treating my child and probably the new baby too like lepars he just doesn't care. He seems to get on fine with my other sister and brother but has no time for me or my children, I am considering cutting him out of our lives for good and have talked to my mum about it (they are still married) but she just says she wants nothing to do with it and that I should get over the past. I don't want to be evil but I don't feel anything for this man as my father, I don't love him. what should I do?

DID YOU KNOW THAT JOHNNY DEPP AND QUEEN ELIZABETH II ARE RELATED
Johnny Depp can consider himself royalty! The actor recently learned that he and Queen Elizabeth II have common ancestors. They are not exactly close relatives, but they are very distant cousins.
Johnny Depp’s genealogical tree shows that 500 years ago, his family and the royal family both left from the same place. Precisely, from Sir William Gascoigne and his wife, Margaret Percy, a family that lived in Yorkshire in the 15th century. The Queen was born in one of the most wealthiest families in the world, and Johnny was born in Kentucky, in the family of an engineer and waitress. Well, it is safe to say that he turned our alright also.
